Course objectives
The result of the course is the solution of the task of competent and confident control of equipment by the members of the engine- room team. This task is solved by updating theoretical knowledge and developing confidence in the control of machines and mechanisms. Training conducted on control systems and management bodies of the main power plant and auxiliary mechanisms.
working out of tasks of different complexity in the engine room watch enables to improve interaction between crewmembers. The confidence in the actions is provided by training in mechanism control in complex operating conditions. The center’s simulators allows to imitate various difficulties associated IN the severe weather events.
The STCW Code requires not only varied training of crew members but also objective control of knowledge. The solution of this problem is provided by the simulators of our center. The evaluation of the training of engineers is based on the results of professional skills indicated in column 4 of Table 1 A-III/2 of the STCW Code.
