Ship’s electrician first-rate course
Program of the course “Ship’s electrician first-rate”:
- General professional training.
- Professional-theoretical training includes:
- Ship automatic control and control systems;
- Electrical ships equipment and it`s operation;
- Basis of the Industrial electronics;
- English (Professional);
- Occupational safety and health;
- Personal safety and social responsibility,
- Ship security;
- Professional and practical training.
Technical base:
Cabinets:
- Ship Power Plant;
- Basic of the electrical equipment and electrical engineering of ship;
- Occupational safety and health;
- Life-saving appliances;
- Fire fighting;
- First aid;
- English language and information technology;
- Material science.
Laboratory:
- electrical equipment and electrical engineering of ship.
Electrical maintenance shop.
Exercise equipment:
- Use of life-saving appliances;
- Fire-fighting.
Groups: groups of less than 10 students. The study can be organized in the morning and in the afternoon.
Duration of training: The course lasts 13 weeks including 4 weeks of sailing practice.
Documents issued:
Those who have successfully completed the full course of education get the standard certificates with obligatory entering details into the State Register:
- Certificate of a qualified professional as «Ship’s Electrician» with qualification «Ship’s electrician first-rate».
State authorities which have approved the training of qualified workers according to the State Standard of study of the SSTVE 7241.01.61.00-2014:
- Ministry of education and science, youth and sports of Ukraine;
- Ministry of labour and social policy of Ukraine;
- Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine;
- Inspection on training and certification of seafarers of Ukraine.
Demands to the students of the course “Ship’s electrician first-rate”:
- Certificate of Technical and Vocational Education of an electrician (2 grade);
- Citizen’s passport;
- Residence permit;
- Work experience as an electrician in the engine crew or maritime industries not less than a year (12 months);
- Foreign passport or sailor’s passport;
- Medical certificate;
- 3 photos 3×4, matte, no corner.
