Pump Engineer (Pumpman) courses
Program of the course “Pump Engineer (Pumpman)”:
- General professional training.
- Professional-theoretical training includes:
- Ships rower plants and their maintenance;
- Basis of the technical knowledge and its maintenance;
- Vessel`s installations and auxiliary mechanisms;
- Basis of the maritime shipping;
- English (Professional vocabulary);
- Occupational safety and health;
- Personal safety and social responsibilities;
- Accident prevention;
- Professional and practical training.
Technical base:
Cabinets:
- Ship Power Plant;
- Bases of electrical engineering and ship’s electric equipment
- Occupational safety and health;
- Life-saving equipment;
- Firefighting;
- First aid;
- English language and information technology.
Laboratory:
- ship Power Plant.
Workshop:
- metal work repair shop.
Simulator-assisted practical training:
- Use of life-saving appliances;
- Firefighting;
- Engine Room ERS – 4000 Engine Rom simulator.
Groups of less than 10 students. The study can be organized in the morning and in the afternoon.
The course lasts 11 weeks including 6 weeks of sailing practice
Documents issued:
Students who have successfully completed the full course of education get the State certificates with obligatory entering details into the State Register.
- Certificate of qualified worker in the profession of « Pump Engineer (Pumpman)».
State authorities which have approved the training of qualified workers according to the State Standard of study of the SSTVE 8340.Н.50.00-2016:
- Ministry of education and science, youth and sports of Ukraine;
- Ministry of labour and social policy of Ukraine;
- Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine;
- Inspection on training and certification of seafarers of Ukraine.
Demands to the students of the course « Pump Engineer (Pumpman) »:
- Document of technical and vocational education with qualification as a “I class motorman;
- Passport of the citizen of Ukraine;
- Residence permit;
- Work experience aboard ships as a II class motorman not less than 12 months;
- Foreign Passport or seaman’s passport;
- Medical certificate 086;
- 3 photos 3×4, matte, no corner.
